A first timers itinerary for those with limited time wanting to visit Australia's East Coast only. With a 3 night stay in Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns we've included enough time to see all the highlights each city has to offer. Cruise on the harbour and visit the Opera House in Sydney; enjoy the cosmopolitan city of Melbourne, arguably the food, fashion and sports capital of Australia; and visit Cairns, gateway to the world famous Great Barrier Reef.

The original climbing adventure of the bridge, takes Climbers on top of the bridge’s structure for a 3 ½ hour experience of Sydney and its magnificent harbour. After embarking on your Climb in the afternoon, you will reach the summit as the sun begins to set. As you arrive on the western side of the Bridge the sun will have reached the horizon and evening will emerge.

Today’s tour is a real journey into the heart of a unique World Heritage Region. Departing from the city you travel directly to the Blue Mountains and where the first stop of the day is at Euroka Clearing located deep in the National Park. Here there is abundant birdlife to be found and it’s also home to wild kangaroos. There is time to wander at leisure to see if you can spot any of these beautiful native animals. Your guide will prepare a refreshing morning tea or coffee for you with some local delicacies. From Euroka Clearing we continue to ascend the Blue Mountains via the highway. You will visit one of a range of stunning outlooks of the Jamison Valley seeing beautiful vistas. Where possible this will be away from the crowds of tours that visit the mountains each day, thus allowing you to enjoy a stress and hurry free environment taking in the views and information imparted by their guide.

Continuing on, arrive at Eaglehawk Lookout, a remote lookout point away from the crowds for views of the famous Three Sisters. Lunch today is at Hydro Majestic. The afternoon is spent visiting a selection of scenic lookouts. The view from Govett’s Leap is one of the most famous lookouts in Australia. Here the magnificent waterfall drops 180 metres to the base of the cliff. The last stop is the delightful Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens where you will stop to enjoy the sweeping views across to Sydney and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice before travelling down the Bells Line of Road to arrive back at your hotel.

You are in for a treat today with this memorable Aboriginal cultural experience. Travel to Cooya Beach (Kuyu Kuyu) just north of Port Douglas. This special place is a traditional fishing ground of the Kuku Yalanji people. Here you will join one of the Kubirri Warra brothers on their beach, mudflat and mangrove walks followed by an introduction to traditional fishing and gathering techniques with the aim of finding your own tucker (food). Visit Mossman Gorge where you will be welcomed with a traditional ‘smoking’ ceremony. This ceremony is conducted by Aboriginal people with specialised cultural knowledge and will protect you whilst visiting Kuku Yalanji country. Wander into the lush rainforest of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park – Mossman Gorge and experience one of the world’s oldest and most beautiful rainforest. Enjoy an easy walk across boardwalks, tracks and bridges protecting the delicate eco system that adorns spectacular waterfalls and mountain ranges. Your guide will explain the rich flora, fauna and eco system of this amazing rainforest. Ensure you bring your swimmers so you can make the most of the beautiful private swimming hole that is encased in the rainforest. A delicious lunch will be served in the Mosman Gorge Centre at the edge of the rainforest.

Day 9

Port Douglas

Inclusions: Hotel pick up and drop off from Port Douglas, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, snorkelling equipment, use of Lycra suit, coral viewing semi-submersible, underwater observatory, informative talk by a marine biologist and Government Environmental Management Charge (EMC).

You will be collected from your hotel by the Quicksilver Cruises coach and transferred to Port Douglas Marina.

Visit Agincourt Reef which is located at the very outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Here, special reefs known as ribbons run parallel to the Continental Shelf. Adjacent to the Coral Sea trench, these ribbon reefs are recognised as the most pristine eco-systems in the reef’s environment. Clear water provides the best possible underwater visibility, encourages rich coral growth and supports spectacular marine life.

Upon arrival at Port Douglas Marina you will be transferred by coach to your accommodation.
