I was born and raised in New Zealand and moved to Chicago in 1987. Still fiercely a Kiwi, I have now lived half my life in the USA. I have spent my whole working life in the Tourism industry and the ownership of Southern World with Trevor, David Martin and Tim is the highlight of this career.
Very proud to have recently received my Tā moko from Katz Maihi during the Tuku Iho exhibition at the Smithsonian in Washington DC.
Having lived and visited almost every corner of New Zealand and explored most of Australia and Fiji, it is a fun job to promote the part of the world you love. My Wife and three boys have also been lucky to travel to the South Pacific and share that passion with me. Aidan my eldest son, has recently joined Southern World to assist me in the North American market.
Whilst being an avid supporter of all Chicago sports teams (yes, as a foreigner, I can support both the Cubs and Sox) the All Blacks, Crusaders and Black Caps is where my heart is!
