My motto is “Happiness is a boarding pass in your hand!” Born and raised in Latvia, I caught the travel bug very early on thanks to my family’s annual summer trips. Core childhood memories of riding a camel at the pyramids in Giza, swimming in the waters believed to be Aphrodite’s birthplace in Cyprus, and watching a bullfight in Madrid all ignited a passion for travel that turned into a career spanning over 15 years.
After moving to the United States at age 11 and finishing all my studies, I joined a small luxury travel agency in Boston where I fell in love with a part of the world I had yet to explore – Oceania. With every trip to Australia, the people, the beaches, the gorgeous and completely different landscapes, the food, and of course the delicious wine – all made me fall in love with this incredible country! Some of my favourite experiences have been snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef, doing the Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb, watching the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island and relaxing on Hamilton Island.
Working with Southern World for over a decade as a travel agent showed me that you could not ask for a more reliable, knowledgeable, and trustworthy partner, which is why I am thrilled to now be on the flip side and part of the SWA team. When I am not working, my kids keep me busy with their travel hockey and cheer schedules, I love taking our dog on long walks and trying our local restaurants and breweries.
