I grew up in Picton, New Zealand, in the beautiful Marlborough Sounds which gave me a passion for the outdoors. While studying Marketing and Management at Otago University my family relocated to Queenstown. As a result, I quickly fell into Tourism as this was the main local industry.
During my years in Queenstown I worked for a river surfing company, the Skyline luge, a conference and incentive company, a day cruise company in Milford Sound and AJ Hackett Bungy.
I loved meeting people from all over the world and this instilled my own sense of wanderlust. As a result, I spent multiple years traveling while working and volunteering. During this time I found myself in the Australian outback, Canadian mountains and at a luxury lodge in Tasmania. This also included extended volunteer stints working with refugees in Northern India and Thailand.
After ‘settling’ back in Queenstown to welcome my first daughter I got a job with Over the Top Helicopters (and this is where I first came across Southern World). After a couple of years, I got itchy feet and took an amazing opportunity as Premium Trade Manager – North America for Tourism New Zealand. This meant relocating the family to Los Angeles (for a planned 2 year fixed term role). Eight and half years later (including 18 months hiding in South Dakota during the pandemic and welcoming a second daughter) I had the opportunity to join the Southern World Team.
I love being out in nature. When not working you will find me out hiking and exploring with the family. My hobbies include snowboarding, fishing, avidly watching all New Zealand sports teams (especially the New Zealand Warriors and Black Caps), cooking and trying new foods and taste-testing quality microbrews.
I look forward to working closely with you, and your clients, to find the very best that Australia, New Zealand and Fiji have to offer.
