The following information will we hope assist you in planning your accommodation requirments for the NZ Silver Fern Rally.
AVAILABILITY UPDATE, as at 03 Sept.
CHRISTCHURCH.
The city is close to being fully booked due to the annual anniversary celebrations that take place on the 10th, 11th and 12th. All motels around the Rally HQ hotel are fully booked.
Rally HQ Hotel - on request basis only - very limited space left.
TIMARU.
The larger Motels are now all fully booked so all new bookings are on a request only basis as we start to use the smaller properties - very few motels left however, space is getting tight.
Rally HQ Hotel - full booked.
DUNEDIN.
Still a reasonable choice here at a number of hotels and smaller motels.

INVERCARGILL.
All rooms being held at the Rally HQ property (hotel, motel and apartment) have now been taken. Other Hotels & Motels are filling up fast - space is becoming limited.

ALEXANDRA.
The entire town is now totally sold out as is the next nearest town, Clyde. For teams still wishing to book we are now securing rooms at Cromwell 30 minutes drive from Alexandra.

QUEENSTOWN.
Still plenty of choice here at a number of hotels and motels.
Car, Truck & Motorhome's
We have good competitive rates with several Rental Car and Motorhome companies so can assist with bookings for these.
We are also happy to assist with light truck rental in conjunction with your other needs if required.

This special has now expired and is no longer available. Motorhomes are still available if required, please ask us for a quote.
New Zealand Accommodation styles/options:
Hotels
Larger establishments with a range of standards. All have their own Restaurant, bar, guest laundry and some offer gym, swimming pool and business centre.
In Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown we can offer standards from 2 star to 4 star. In Timaru & Invercargill the options are limited to just 2 or 3 star and Alexandra being a very small rural town we only have Motels on offer.
Apartments
Generally newer and of a higher standard than Motels. Most offer 2 or 3 bedroom apartments with 2 bathrooms, full cooking facilities and in room laundry.
Apartments are available in Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill and Queenstown.
Motels
Small, generally owner operated establishments normally with only 6 – 12 rooms on offer. Motels have a range of room styles from small studios for 2 up to 2 bedroom units sleeping 4 or 5. Most motel rooms have simple cooking facilities. Motels rarely have their own restaurant or bar and they tend to located in the outer suburbs of towns.
Parking at most is outdoors, often outside of or close to your unit.
Motels are available at all Rally overnight stops.
Holiday Parks
For those with Motorhomes or on a tight budget campgrounds/holiday parks could be the answer. Simple cabins can represent excellent value.

Costs
A huge range of prices but the following is a general guide:
Motel studio’s: NZ$120.00 - NZ$150.00 a night (up to 2 persons)
Motel 2 bedrooms: NZ$200.00 - NZ$300.00 a night (up to 4 persons)
Apartment, 2 bedrooms: NZ$250.00 - NZ$350.00 a night (up to 4 persons)
Apartment, 3 bedrooms: NZ$350.00 - NZ$500.00 a night (up to 6 persons)
Hotels: NZ$150.00 - NZ$300.00 a night (up to 2 persons)
